“Brother, Sister, let me serve you, let me be as Christ to you, pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant too.” Any one of us can be in need at any time. As a Believing Community God calls us to grow in love and compassion for one another.
The meal run scheme is operated by a group of ladies in Dungiven Parish. As group we have come to realise that its really helpful to receive a meal at times...mums who have just had a baby and have arrived home from hospital, those recently bereaved, families at stress point, those for whom regular hospital treatment is taking place, those living alone and the aged...
The minister or church members take the meals on pastoral visits where a particular need is identified.
By way of trying to grow humility in us we ensure that we make a meal for one another in the kitchen on the day we meet as well as stocking up the freezer for the ministry to continue. Please see Jean Hill, May Wilson, Sandra Ross or Jo Loney for further details.
